WOOHOO yo peeps. been sometimes since i posted!! i am here to reply Vivien tag as well as to give an explanation for why i have not post for so long HAHA!. well, i can't say i'm busy studying for prelim because everyday I've spent less than 2% of time studying for it. I really wanted to study! i swear! but i just can't! So what I'm i really busy about? Well MOST of my time goes to watching show to kill time and the remaining half of what i have left is to sleep. But that's not the point.. recently i have bought a sketchbook..for no reason, maybe it's just an instinct to build a portfolio. I have done a few works on it. And then i thought, why not i just share with you guys! hahaha alright the pieces of drawing i have done so far since day 1 of the sketchbook. --- According to day1 to day (bla bla). Yeah i've been drawing close to everyday or take a break for a few days before grabbing onto my pencils. day1. I did 2 drawing, a ladybird to just try it out and Mukhtar . Mukhtar is a woman who fought for this country(not sure which)women rights. So I've got inspired and tried drawing a sketch of her, but damn her features look like a man. These two pieces used up at least 2hour of my time, my hand got very rusty after not touching the pencil for 6month due to coursework.   that's day 1. -- Fortunately at day2 my passion for quick sketching hasn't died off! and i drew an ear piece. Well there's a reason why, i wanted to commemorate this ear piece for being the most 'durable' among all my ear piece who died at my heavy metals music. So as to remember how lousy this thing is, i drew it. Took me about 30min i guess, got problems with angles and shading, but manage to edit it after 3 drawing, 1st one is the trial and error, 2nd one is solving the problem and the 3rd one is what i posted here. as you can see, i came up with my own steps to draw this ear piece as well as the 2nd sketch which is the one at the left  ----- After a few days i guess about 2? I picked up my pencil again after watching many episodes of a show. I decided to do a coloring practice on eye coloring during art lessons, well i had nothing better to do since i have finished all my work, so might as well retrain my hand and eye. Took me approximately about 1 hour and 30mins. Had problems showing the highlight and pupils as well as controlling my strength to draw the eyelashes. But managed to solve it by using white pen and blending it with the color of the pupils and using the perm marker to make the pupils. Well for the eyelashes, no choice, so i edited it to look a little 'artificial' still no excuse for a poor work.  After I came home and had a good nap, woke up realizing i could no longer sleep until its in the early morning i decided to do a quick analysis of my hand, very rough one which well means it's not a good one though, you can see my idea on how to draw my hand.  ----- The day right after this piece of hand drawing, i felt very uneasy about not being able to draw my hand properly, so i took my recess time before art lesson to draw my fist, I'm quite impressed by myself because i finished the basic drawing in 35minutes and uses only 2 minute to finish the complicated lining together with the shadings. Probably one of my best and fastest piece to date.  ---- about a few days after this piece of drawing, i drew a quick sketch of shafie as requested from him when i was waiting for the nice spaghetti cooked by Saddam and Estee, and i realize how horrific my live drawing on another person is, the proportion all wrong, the shades all wrong, the hair just makes thing worse, and when i go home i took a look at this drawing and shook my head and sigh, and the flame just seems to dimmed off a little.  ---- True enough, I did not touch my sketchbook and pencil for close to 2 weeks, my hand gone shaky whenever i tried to draw, yea i am back to square one again! And while today i was browsing through the web to learn how to paint effectively using poster paint, I chance upon this site - http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=870 it's about this guy who is an artist wanna be and keep drawing EVERY SINGLE DAY from September 21st, 2002 - June 18th, 2008 and still going. From an amateur all the way to a professional artist, i am seriously intrigued and inspired. So i decided to get my butt off from this god damn leather chair which i sat in front doing nothing but rot, to paint which is what i am worse at. And the best thing is i decided to draw EVERYDAY as well, my target is to finished this thick sketchbook by this year end, not with crappy drawing but with what i always aimed for, like this guy. Here's what i did today. It's a painting of a mango, strange but it look like a papaya(real thing) to me LOL. I think i did quite okay for a beginner. Well, i'm going to see how much i progress and improved through the weeks and months.  ---- That's it for my sketchbook, and just for the fun of it, i think i should show you guys my O level coursework! haha. Enjoy :D I've done a 1 piece of graphic designed packaging, means there is not real box but a digitally made one, risky but i hope i will get the marks, followed by some advertisement scheme namely the posters and leaflets, sadly not enough boards to show my development for leaflets.
